Fast Food That’s Good for You

Despite the poor nutritional value and artery-clogging effect of eating fast food, no one can deny that it sure tastes delicious. It would take all our will to resist the temptation of biting into a juicy burger or munching that bowl of crispy fries. But eating fast food doesn’t have to be sinful anymore because right here in Singapore, there’s one restaurant that sells good-for-your-health burgers. Yes, it’s true! And that restaurant’s name is VeganBurg.

Perhaps this is the first time you’ve heard of VeganBurg but they are actually gaining more and more interest from many foodies, vegans and even meat-lovers. From the name itself VeganBurg serves vegan burgers. That means all their burgers including their other menu items are made completely meat-free, dairy-free, and egg-free.

You’re probably thinking “how on earth could a plant-based burger be appetizing?” Before you make your judgments, you should at least give their burgers a try. If you didn’t know beforehand that their burgers were vegan, for sure they would easily pass as your typical beef burgers.

One of their highly-recommended burgers is their Cracked Pepper Mayo. This simple yet flavourful burger is made with a crispy yet moist Vegan patty topped with fresh lettuce and slathered with their dairy-free mayo. They’ve sandwiched all these goodness in an organic, whole wheat ciabatta bun. What’s more is that it contains Omega 3 & 6 and Zinc. Now, this burger doesn’t deserve to be thrown in the junk food category at all!

The spotlight may be focused on their burgers but they do have other tasty menu items as well. They’ve got your classic fast food choices such as hotdogs, sausages, and fries. Their ingredients might be limited to plant-based products but that didn’t stop them from creating many delightful and appetizing treats that you’d want to eat again.

Being vegan might not be part of our plans this time, but dining at VeganBurg is surely a delicious way to add more veggies and fibre to our diet. So, if you’re interested to try out this revolutionary food place you could visit them in these outlets: their founding restaurant at 44 Jalan Eunos, at Marina Boulevard, at The Grand Stand, and at Golden Shoe.
